EVENT OVERVIEW: Join the UC Institute of Transportation Studies (UC ITS) for its fourth webinar in a series exploring the findings from the state-commissioned study – Driving California’s Transportation Emissions to Zero. This study identifies pathways and related actions the state should consider in order to achieve a carbon-neutral transportation system in California by 2045. Reducing per capita vehicle miles traveled (VMT) while improving the mobility of people and goods will be a key component of the state’s success. In this webinar, UC ITS researchers will discuss the role of VMT-related policies in achieving a carbon neutral transportation sector, and review the suite of new and enhanced policies the state should consider, including those related to the built environment, land use, pricing, and transportation demand management.
